CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority expects to pare its operating expenses by choosing to own rather than rent its office space.
The Port hopes to buy a three-story brick building at 1100 West Ninth St., at the edge of the Warehouse District. The property sits immediately south of the Port's waterfront property and just east of the Flats East Bank development site.

TWINSBURG, OH-A venture of Independence, OH-based Scannell Properties and Indianapolis-based DiGeronimo Cos. has purchased the 167-acre closed Chrysler Stamping Plant, with plans to demolish more than half of the buildings and offer the rest as multitenant. Vancouver-based liquidation firm Maynards Industries bought the plant for $45.5 million after it shut down last summer.
